Q- Can I offer My prayers before sunrise?

A- Absolutely yes. The best time for prayers is considered to be just before sunrise and perfect time for prayers and meditation is two hours before sunrise.

Q- Do we have small shlokas for children?

A.- Yes. we do.

1.   Before getting out of bed in the morning sit up in your bed. Open both your palms together and look at them. as you recite this shloka

कराग्रे वसते लक्ष्मि, करमूले सरस्वती करमध्ये तु गोविन्द प्रभाते कर दर्शनम् ||

Karaagre Vasate Laxmi, Laramoole saraswati, Kara madhye to govinda,Prabhaate kara darshanam.

Meaning:

On the tip of your palms reside Laxmi (the goddess of wealth),On the base of your palms reside the goddess saraswati(Goddess of knowledge /learning). In the center of your palms reside the Lord Govind(Vishnu) Early in the morning pray to these to make your morning a fruitful one.

2.      Before placing your feet on the ground in the morning. Situp with our feet dangling from the bed and look at the mother earth(Floor) resite this shloka

समुद्र वसने देवी पर्वत स्तनमण्डले |  विष्णु पत्नि नमस्तुभ्यं पाद श्पर्शह् क्षमश्वमे ||     

Samudra vasane devi, Partava stana mandale, Vishnu patni namastubhyum,Paada sprashah Kshamashvamey.

Meaning: -Oh mother goddess(Earth), one who holds the ocean within herself, mountains to her heart, that consort(wife) of Lord Vishnu, please forgive me for placing my feet upon your being. (In other words, ask forgiveness for putting the burden on the earth and thank for the help.)

3.      Last and final early morning shloka is as your stand on your two feet, bring your palms in prayer pose, close your eyes and pray to the creator of the universe with this shloka.

वसुदेवसुतं देवं कनस चाणूर मर्दनम् | देवकी परमानन्दं , कृष्णं वन्दे जगत् गुरुं ||

Vasudevasutum Devam, Kansa chaanura mardanam, Devaki paramaanandam,krishnam vande jagat gurum.

Meaning:  To the Son of Vasudev , to the one who killed evil persons such as Kansa and Chaanura, One who brought ultimate happiness to Devaki, to that Lord and Guru (teacher ) of the universe Krishna, I bow with utmost respect.

Q- what is Sanskrit prayer/shloka  before meals/food prayer     

A- Om Sahanaa vavatu, sahanau bhunaktu, saha viryam karvaavahai, tejashvinaa vadita mastu, Om shanti, shanti shanti.

सह नाववतु
सह नौ भुनक्तु
सह वीर्यं करवावहै
तेजस्वि नावधीतमस्तु मा विद्विषावहै
शान्तिः शान्तिः शान्तिः
